Rural broadband deployment
Designing coverage for the places satellite and fixed microwave never reach properly — built on cutting-edge infrastructure from the major cellular carriers, not a dish bolted to the roof.

Founder & Principal, Investor + Advisory at ispMint
I build and back the infrastructure that connects rural America. Since 2014, ispMint has delivered genuine high-speed broadband to the places the big carriers skipped — homes, ranches, job sites and travellers, right across North America.
What I do
Twenty years of systems and telecom work, turned into a national wireless ISP. These are the conversations I am most useful in.
Designing coverage for the places satellite and fixed microwave never reach properly — built on cutting-edge infrastructure from the major cellular carriers, not a dish bolted to the roof.
Founder-side advice and early capital for connectivity, infrastructure and Nevada technology companies. Practical input from someone who has carried the pager, not just the pitch deck.
Managed broadband that keeps a workforce connected 24/7 — branch offices, job sites, fleets and seasonal operations, on plans from $99/mo with no contracts.
Unlimited internet that moves with you. Work from the trailhead, run a crew from a truck, stream anything you want in the middle of nowhere.
From university IT administration to running a wireless ISP across a continent — capacity planning, carrier relationships, support operations and the boring reliability work that keeps customers.
Carrier, reseller and community partnerships — plus talks on closing the rural connectivity gap for towns that keep getting left off the map.

A veteran-owned, high-speed broadband on-the-go provider that reaches inaccessible areas. Since launching in 2014, ispMint has become a leading rural wireless internet provider in North America — serving families, travellers and businesses including Apple, Tesla, Harley-Davidson and State Farm.
Track record
Rural and small-town America was left without a real high-speed option. Eleven years later, the network reaches the ranch, the trailer and the corporate field team alike.

About
I’m Philip Emanuele — founder, operator and investor, based in Reno, Nevada. My path into telecoms ran through systems administration at the University of Nevada, Reno, and technology work at Vero 7 and Reno Technology, before rural connectivity became the problem I could not put down.
That became ispMint: a veteran-owned wireless ISP delivering unlimited high-speed internet to the parts of North America the big carriers priced out or wrote off. Today I split my time between the network itself and the founders building around it — investing, advising, and opening the carrier doors that took a decade to earn.

Plain pricing, no contracts, no throttling. The promise made at signup is the one still running a year later.
A megabit that reaches the ranch beats a headline speed that never arrives. Build for where people actually live and work.
Infrastructure rewards patience. Eleven years in, the same principles — and largely the same people — are still running it.
Advisory for connectivity and infrastructure businesses, partnership and carrier introductions, and hands-on help with network operations or go-to-market for rural service areas.
Yes — selectively, and usually early. I look for connectivity, infrastructure and Nevada technology companies where operating experience is worth more than the cheque.
